Metering System Ultromat® ULFa

Polymer batching station Ultromat® ULFa (continuous flow system): This metering system can be used to batch flocculation aids for the preparation of a ready-to-use polymer solution. The system was designed for the fully automatic batching of polymer solutions.

Efficient production of a polymer solution with a high throughput capacity.

These systems can be used to handle both liquid and powdered polymers. The tank, which is sub-divided into three chambers, largely prevents the carry over of the freshly prepared polymer.

    Technical Details

    Siemens S7 – 1200 compact control and KTP 400 touch panel

    • Optionally fitted with PROFIBUS® and DP/DP coupler
    • Optionally fitted with PROFINET and PN/PN coupler
    • Optionally fitted with Modbus TCP
    • Optional post-dilution units for stock solutions operating at 1,000 – 50,000 l/h, inductive flow meter (opt.)

    Technical Data

    The following types of polymer can be processed:

    • Powdered polymers (0.05 – 0.5 %)
    • Liquid polymers (0.05 – 1.0 %) with 50 % active ingredient

    Selectable components:

    • Tank size/extraction rate
    • Construction (normal or mirror-image design)
    • Wide-range voltage connection for 50 Hz or 60 Hz mains power supply
    • S7 – 1200 control (with and without PROFIBUS®/PROFINET/Modbus TCP)
    • Powder feeder unit and diverse add-on hoppers for powder storage
    • Vibrator for powder feeder unit (keeps the polymer moving)
    • FG205 powder conveyor (for the automatic filling of the powder feeder unit)
    • Liquid concentrate pump types DFXa, Sigma, Spectra, DULCO®flex
    • Liquid concentrate pump monitor (float switch / flow monitor)
    • Flush valve (Y-flush inlet or wetting cone)
    • Gearbox driven stirrer in preparation chamber 1
    • Stirrer for chamber 3
    • Language (touch panel language can be pre-set)

    The standard delivery includes:

    • Pause function/operating signal/running dry function
    • Batching mode enabled signal
    • Monitoring of an optional post-dilution unit
